A Cowboys Life by Mark Mills 2009 c

It’s a good hard life, A cowboys dreams
It’s a harder life, than most people believe
Riding the range from dusk till dawn
working for wages and a cowboys song.

A young strapping buck in the spring of his life
Roping and riding, his reins held tight
Chasing the freedom of living on the range
Most people will tell you he will never change

Summer is here now the prime of his life
Living with no fear of what’s on the other side
Reflecting on courage its held deep within
Bestowed from his father and cowboy skin

It’s a good hard life, A cowboys dreams
It’s a harder life, than most people believe
Riding the range from dusk till dawn
working for wages and a cowboys song.

He is weathered and worn as fall rushes in
The crisp cool morning before winter begins
But another life he would not lead
It’s a life of a cowboy that meets his needs

Winters are harsh on the range it appears
watching the sun set as the end draws near
Never regretting the brands which he rode
A cowboys strength is the cowboy code

It’s a good hard life, A cowboys dreams
It’s a harder life, than most people believe
Riding the range from dusk till dawn
working for wages and a cowboys song.
